Her video works have been exhibited at Hauser & Wirth and The University Settlement/Speyer Hall in New York City. Her paintings have been shown at The Elizabeth Foundation, Elizabeth Harris Gallery, Snug Harbor Cultural Center, and The Drawing Center, all in NYC; as well as at The Everson Museum of Art in Syracuse, NY, and at various universities and galleries across the country.

Janet is a native New Yorker who studied painting and illustration at Parsons School of Design and The New School, earning a BFA in 1975. She went on to receive an MA in Fine Art from Hunter College in 1978. That same year, she began her professional painting career.
Since 2023, Janet has focused on creating digital drawings and animations, working primarily with the iPad Pro and Adobe Premiere. She currently lives and works in Lower Manhattan.
