Janet Kusmierski is a painter, sculptor, digital artist, animator and illustrator. Her paintings and drawings have been exhibited online at ArtFizz, and her NFTs can be found on Foundation as @TootieFrootie.
Her work has been exhibited offline at The Elizabeth Foundation; Elizabeth Harris Gallery in Chelsea, NYC; Snug Harbor Cultural Center, NYC; The Drawing Center, NYC; The Everson Museum of Syracuse, Syracuse, NY and assorted universities and galleries across the country.
She studied painting and illustration at Parsons School of Design and the New School, graduating with a BFA (1975) followed by an MA (1978) in Fine Art from Hunter College.
In 1975, she began her professional painting career, which she continues to this day with an emphasis on acrylic process painting. That said, she has pursued other mediums including digital drawing on iPad Pro, 3-D sculpture, digital animation and illustration.
A native New Yorker, Janet currently lives and works in lower Manhattan.
